RAW
Hi-Lite Reel – We start with Y2J, Bitchoff and JR. Sigh.
JR and Coach gets made into a country whipping match. Sigh.
Y2J beats down JR, Austin makes save, literally. Not just for
JR but to the whole boring segment.
Dudley’s beat Test/Steiner – Steiner swerves on
Stacy. Very unexpected, a little surprise tonight.
Kane promo with Hurricane, very boring and drug on too long
before they got into it with Rosey making the save.
Jindrak, Cade, Maven and French Guys promo, boring, nobody
had any charisma and did nothing to hype this match.
J/C/M beat the French guys – wow, another surprise. The
job squad 2003 gets a win.
HHH promo, he’s putting $100,000 bounty on Goldberg.
Ah, the old days, the bounties of the 80’s. Remember
when there were bounties on Dusty Rhodes, Mr. Wrestling II’s
mask, Tully Blanchard’s $10,000 beat me in 10 minutes
for the TV title challenge, $10,000 to anyone who could slam
Big John Studd, aaahhhhh the good’ol days.
JR beat Coach – my good’ol days moment is ruined
by this. JR wins, so him and the King are the announcers again.
Some people are tired of them, but they were much better than
Coach and I still find Lawler humorous. And they are much better
than Tenay and that other clown on NWA/TNA.
Lita Book promo – she gets jumped by Molly and Kim and
none too soon cause nobody wants to hear her on the mic. Trish
makes save before the RVD of women’s wrestling, Victoria,
makes the heel save. Vic is the female RVD cause she’s
so wasted despite her talents. Vic puts her nice finisher on
Trish, I may have to steal that. Lol, King says Lita’s
book is already hit after Molly hits her with it.
Kane squashed Hurricane – These 2 guys are being killed
off. Kane’s push, if you wanna call it that, is killing
his career. Not that it wasn’t already dead anyways.
And its evident that hurricane will never go anywhere on Raw,
by the continuous amounts of clean, squash, jobbing he does.
Goldberg/HBK win by DQ over Orton/Flair – lol, before
the match in an interview, Richards try to collect the bounty,
then during the match Henry/Mack come down to try. Next week
Goldberg vs Henry, makes sense I guess, who else is there for
Goldberg?
RVD beat Christian for the IC title – great match which
was no surprise given the individuals and the ladder. Makes
sense that RVD would win, it’s his 3rd straight IC title
shot and the fact that he MASSIVELY put Kane over for the past
3 months. Now let’s see if he gets to hold on to it for
longer than a few weeks, like when he had it before.
Overall, helped out by a great main event and some nice surprises,
this was a better than average Raw. I thought the crowd was
pretty good too, considering they were competing against the
Bear’s opening of their new stadium. Who’s responsible
for booking Raw on the same night as that?
